Dr. Richard Beatty graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1977. He practiced general dentistry until 1980 when he entered the Endodontic residency program at the University of Iowa where he graduated in 1982 as a specialist in Endodontics also with a Master of Science degree. He was a full-time tenured associate professor in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Florida until 1989. Since 1989 he has been in private practice limited to Endodontics and is an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
Dr. Beatty has authored over 30 professional publications and has lectured to over 100 dental groups both nationally and internationally. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists. Fellowship in the American College of Dentists was conferred in 2006 as was fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
While not practicing dentistry, Dr. Beatty enjoys archery, scuba diving, and fishing for crappies and bass. Dr. Beatty is happily married to his wife Candi.
