Dr. Sweta Shah

Dr. Shah received her bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Illinois Chicago before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Shah then completed a general practice residency at NorthShore University Health System/University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She practiced in public health for several years until the pandemic started. And prior to joining First Choice Dental, she was providing dental care in a private clinic setting in the Chicago area.

Dr. Shah is excited to be part of a team that prioritizes taking exceptional care of each other and exceptional care of patients.

• Hobbies: Reading, hiking, traveling, baking, dancing, pottery, and trying different ethnic cuisines.
• Favorite activities: Yoga, meditation, learning about holistic wellness, volunteering, trying out new recipes, DIY arts and crafts, and spending quality time with friends and family.
• Favorite places to travel: Hawaii and Sedona
• Favorite foods: Pizza, Italian, Mediterranean, and fusion Indonesian.
• Interesting facts: Dr. Shah is a first-generation dentist. She follows a plant-based diet and is learning to have a herb garden that she can keep alive all year long.
