Dr. June Mello graduated with honors from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where she was recognized for excellence in academics, leadership, and clinical achievement. Among the many honors she received were awards from the American College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. She was also inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society.

Throughout her career, Dr. Mello has remained committed to advancing her knowledge and skills in dentistry. She earned the distinction of Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a professional achievement that reflects her dedication to continuing education and lifelong learning. The FAGD is one of the most prestigious designations in general dentistry, earned by fewer than 10% of all practicing general dentists in the United States.

Dr. Mello enjoys caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds but finds it especially rewarding to work with older adults, individuals with special needs, and patients who experience dental anxiety or fear. Her extensive experience has given her a deep appreciation for meeting patients where they are and helping them receive the dental care they need in a way that feels comfortable and respectful.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mello enjoys spending time with her family. When she finds a little quiet time, she can often be found reading, baking, or working in the garden.
