A Milwaukee native with deep Wisconsin roots, Dr. Sahar Edalatpour earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After college, she spent a year working as both a dental assistant and patient coordinator in a pediatric dental office in Boston. That experience gave her a firsthand look at dentistry from both the clinical and patient perspectives and ultimately inspired her to pursue the profession herself.

Dr. Sahar returned to Wisconsin to attend Marquette University School of Dentistry. Following dental school, she spent several years providing care at a community dental clinic in Minneapolis before returning to Madison.

Dr. Sahar believes dentistry is as much about people as it is about teeth. Her experiences in different roles and practice settings have shaped her warm, approachable style and reinforced the importance of listening, communication, and meeting patients where they are. She enjoys getting to know the people she cares for and creating an environment where patients feel genuinely welcomed.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sahar loves traveling, cooking, hosting friends and family, practicing yoga, reading, and discovering great restaurants and coffee shops. Her travels have taken her around the world, but Spain holds a special place in her heart after studying abroad in Seville during college.

Food and hospitality also run in Dr. Sahar’s family. Her family once owned Persian restaurants in Milwaukee, and the very first was named Sahar Restaurant in her honor. As a child, she even appeared in the local newspaper posing alongside plates of rice and kabobs; a brief but memorable introduction to life as a local celebrity.

Dr. Sahar is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoys using her language skills to connect with Spanish-speaking patients and help make their dental experience more comfortable.
