About Dr. Sarmad Saadi

Dr. Saadi grew up in Baghdad, Iraq. He finished medical school while living in Iraq and then moved to the U.S. and was going to do his residency here. After volunteering in a hospital, he decided to check out dentistry. After shadowing a couple dentists, he loved it and decided to switch paths. He lived in Iowa City for 10 years and is a graduate of the University of Iowa Dental School. He and his wife, Becky, have a two-year-old son, Isaiah, and are expecting a baby girl in October.

Dr. Saadi enjoys soccer, biking, running, and woodworking. He loves spending time in the garage working on new pieces of furniture. He and Becky love to travel. Iceland is his favorite place to visit. They have two cats, Aziza (the ornery one) and Autumn (the introverted "don't mess with me" one). He’s a big fan of Mediterranean food and freshly baked bread – Yum!
