At First Choice Dental, we believe that professional success and continual self-improvement are closely aligned. That’s why we offer a hygienist training program that emphasizes continuing education and support, so our hygienists always have opportunities to learn and improve.
Backed by a team of dedicated trainers, our multi-step professional development process starts in the classroom. That’s where up-and-coming hygienists learn from an experienced registered dental hygienist, covering topics like company protocols, infection control, treatment presentation, time management, medical consults, clinical documentation and more. Once their classroom experience has concluded, hygienists graduate to intensive on-site training with a dedicated hygiene mentor. It’s a lasting relationship that offers hygienists ongoing support, including one-on-one progress updates every month.
Of course, everyone learns a little differently. That’s why we build flex time into each hygienist’s schedule as they acclimate to their new work environment. And why we’re committed to bringing enriching learning opportunities and continuing education courses on a variety of industry topics right to our clinics. Like nitrous oxide administration certification training, coming to First Choice Dental in 2019.
Hygienists play an essential role at all of our clinics. By offering them endless opportunities to achieve personal and professional success, we’re creating a better First Choice Dental for our team—and for our patients.
